You never know what you might shoot at 2am, though.

Double the size doesn't count as counting millimeters, so sorry about that! Glad it cleared itself up.

I woke up this morning with the same stomach bug that my wife and son had over the weekend. I feel t e r r i b l e. I have a massive work thing this weekend and I am scrambling to find replacements for myself.

Whew! Good day in the studio. Cranked out two new entries to my ever-growing line of fake products. Please tell me what you think of these, positive or negative feedback appreciated equally:

It's kind of hard with these little thumbnails, but the product on the left is Fear, and the one on the right is Love. This particular fear is ignorant fear which is of course "easy to spread" so I represented it as a sort-of thick, black margarine. Love I decided to represent as a cleansing powder that "washes away sadness", "scours out hate" and has a "fresh perspective scent".

P.S. Do you people from the UK call margarine by any other names? I wanna add to my keywords...

I'm really sorry to hear that, Dave! Take care of yourself, and get better soon.

At least you know what to expect, how long it should last, etc. Just stay in bed (and away from the computer!), and get plenty of rest.

Wooo! In my starved delirious state, I stumbled into Harvey Norman and bought myself a TiVo. Just in time for ER season 14! Now if channel 9 decides to not axe it mid way through the season like they always do, I won't have to buy season 14 DVD's!

Dave, I hope you feel better soon. Sometimes these bugs just last 24 hours, so fingers crossed it'll soon be gone.

Oscar, that's my favourite so far out of your wheelchair series. Not only is it really well done, it also has an empowering message.

Hudson - those are both top notch! Particularly like the 'love' one, but only because I prefer the concept to fear. Both images are equally good in my opinioin. And yes, we call margerine just that!

Whew...just wanted to comment on one or two things before I dash off to work!

Margarine is good for Brits too but because it's black, symbolic of the fear, I think it will look like 'spread' i.e. any kind, like chocolate spread. I love the fear spread - the metaphor, the representation, everything. I'm not wowed by love - I don't like the idea of love as a cleansing agent (makes me think of 'ethnic cleansing' and I hate that term ) or love 'scouring' (makes me think of Old Testament Christian associations and that for me is not a good association) ... so it's the concept on this one that I don't like, not the execution.

Paula - love the spider - will send you the tips this morning.

Oscargalway - not only a great image visually, what a truly wonderful representation of life in a wheelchair. I would have it as a poster in every school and every hospital.

Incidentally, I did try 3 of my medieval/witch shoot for Vetta - no go. So model/set/costume/story - not enough

Very creative work on those fake products. Makes me laugh every time I read the labels! Reminds me of those old 80s commericals on TV.

Banana anyone?

I'm only pimping this because I took it less than 24 hours ago and was amazed to find it on the front page just now. Possibly quickest acceptance ever, which surprised me given the slowness lately!

THERES A BIG SPIDER!!!

Careful Oscar. Those Australians will think us Northern Europeans are a big bunch girls. I am sure Dave and Beano are thinking 'that not a spider this is a spider' in a Crocidile Dundee accent. They could set up a similar shot which everyone would say 'look there's a bunch of bananas hiding behind that spider'

Been thinking about love product... well obviously yours is good whether it appeals to me or not, Hudson, but why not offer alternative love products to keep me happy How's about something in purple (passionate) foil and wrapper, love squares, labelled 'sweet and for sharing' or 'sweet and comforting', something nice and gooey .. perhaps 'soft-hearted'... yes, think hand-made purple chocolates...

Inspired by yesterdays discussion I set down to link some of my images with thumbnails with DM (Mac). This worked perfectly well but I forgot one image I wanted to link and now I don't know how to add this one (the same will be true if I add new files which I want to link to already linked groups).

Actually I didn't even see the spider - tiny little thing that it is. We'd just eat it along with the bananas

Britta, if you have linked for example two images and want to add a third just select all three and do as you did before. It won't double the ones you already have linked.

sorry jean. I have to agree the feathering is terrible. Use the stamp or brush set it to 100% and 60% softness and simply redefine the edges. I don't think pushing it down to medium helps....you should fix that one in 20min and it will be accepted at full size for sure

Thanks, Nils - I'll give it a try! Would you work at 200% or bigger?

400% if you have a big screen or using a pen.....press the space bar to navigate faster with the hand tool
